Privacy Policy

Alvenea is made to respect your privacy. This page explains what the app uses, why it uses it, and where it stays. In short, Alvenea keeps your information on your device and in your own iCloud account, and it does not run servers that gather your personal data.

Location

Alvenea uses your location to find places near you so that you can collect them. Your location is used right on your device to search for nearby places. It is not sent to us, stored on our servers, or shared with anyone. Alvenea only asks for your location while you are using the app, and you can change this at any time in your device settings.

The places you collect

The places you collect, along with your familiarity, stamps, tiers, and journey progress, are saved on your device and kept in sync through your personal iCloud account, so your collection follows you across your devices. This information stays under your control through your Apple ID, and we cannot see it.

Purchases

Alvenea offers optional in app purchases that give you more room to collect. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. The number of extra slots you have bought is saved in your iCloud account, so it stays with you when you reinstall the app or move to a new device.

What we do not collect

Alvenea does not collect your name, email, contacts, or browsing activity. It uses no third party advertising and no analytics trackers, and it does not sell or share your personal information with anyone.

Services we rely on

Alvenea uses a few Apple services to work. It uses Apple Maps to find nearby places, iCloud to store your collection, and the App Store to handle purchases. Your use of these is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

Children

Alvenea is made for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with an updated date at the top.
